Well of course someone was going to do it, i have been brainstorming for a few months but had no spare time until now. I am trying to get it ready to run on friday all i have left now is electronics and some street passes!
  • All damping is oil controlled and sprung which is the most consistent and easiest to adjust
  • front sway bar
  • center shock is located behind the pivot point for more linear action, results in smoother action over the bumps
  • side shocks are ballbearing cantilever mounted at 1.3:1 ratio but can be adjusted to 1.1 if desired
  • Independent front suspension
  • F104 knuckles so you can use 104 wheels and tires
  • FGX center and front shocks
  • FGX option springs for side and front shocks
  • RC18r option springs for center shock
  • FQ01 traction bar system with center ball pivot

Its now complete, all i have left is to solder the wires up and then a test run on the street! suspension feels really good. I swear i have made each piece at least 5 times just getting the geoometry right!! R+D is time consuming.

That is some pretty interesting stuff when you flexed it side to side. I hope I'm at M&M when you run it, will be neat to see.

Really liking the car , yesterday it was only a few tenths slower than my FQ. I was going to race with it in the last main but i stripped the servo gears. I am going to adapt the rear suspension to my FQ to see how it does. IT really plants the rear end so much that i had to go way more aggressive on the front to get the balance back.

very cool, as was the reaction on the track?
the rear was not too hard with 3 dampers?

Getting better! The three rear shocks control different movements, watch the vid. Two of them are used for side damping the same way as the TRG and 10th scale pan cars, each damper controls a different movement.

One thing i have noticed is that it does not like the pit 571/572 combo. Just seems to have too much rear grip and pushes really bad. it has run best with the HPI soft/med combo

very cool, and the weight?
the car was much heavier?
I liked a lot, here the cars handle more than the front.
we use medium / soft
